Meet the GT Team

Dr. Zach Guiser, PT, DPT, CSCS

Zach is the owner of GT Performance. His passion for optimizing human performance was born directly from his obsession optimizing his own athletic career, but he has since found much more satisfaction in helping others realize their own potential. With a lot of hard work, he was able to receive double digit Division-1 football scholarships out of high school at Greensburg Central Catholic and chose to play at the University of Akron. While there he was a 3-year starter at the D1-FBS level(safety), team captain of the 2017 MAC-East Champions, 1st Team D1 Academic All-American, and Bob Linton Male Student-Athlete of the Year.

Following his playing career, Zach graduated with a 3.99 GPA while obtaining his bachelor’s in Exercise Science and immediately passed the industry gold-standard NSCA-CSCS to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He coached with the University of Akron strength and conditioning staff, then transitioned to coaching at a private facility in northeast Ohio. While there, he trained athletes of all ages, from 7 year olds to professional athletes.

Zach continued to train athletes while he was pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Walsh University. He ended up graduating 1st in class in his doctoral program. More importantly, though, was that during this time period he noticed there was a large gap between rehab, injury prevention, and performance training. This led to the vision of what GT Performance is today: a one-stop-shop for athletes to sprint faster, jump higher, get stronger, and stay healthier.

Rachel Guiser

Rachel wears many hats and puts out many fires at GT Performance, so it’s most appropriate for her title to be the First Lady of GT. She’s the friendly voice you’ll often hear on the phone, the warm smile you’ll see before a training session, and the steady current that keeps our ship headed in the right direction.

Rachel was first introduced to leadership as a captain of her high school basketball team. As a hooper, Rachel could absolutely shoot the lights out. Her most important attributes, though, are the positive mindset and charismatic personality that have paved her path of pursuing servant-leadership in her professional life.

Rachel graduated with a 3.70 GPA from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science: concentration in Exercise Physiology. Her heart has always been as pure as gold, so she was driven to pursue her calling of helping young kids maximize their functional lives as a pediatric occupational therapist. She graduated with here Masters of Occupation Therapy from Walsh University with a 3.72 GPA. In addition to her roles at GT, Rachel actively treats patients as an early intervention occupational therapist.

Dr. Lynne Markle, PT, DPT, NASM-CPT

Lynne is a Performance Physical Therapist for our EverAthlete program. From the moment that you meet her, you will be welcomed with enthusiasm. You’ll be hard pressed to catch her in a moment where she’s not smiling and having a good time.

Lynne knew that she wanted to be a physical therapist by the time that she was 12. She loved learning, she loved helping people, she loved anatomy and the human body. It was a perfect fit.

To chase down that dream, she went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Mercyhurst University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University.

When she got into the field, though, she felt stuck. She loved helping her patients, but she always felt like they needed more. Rehabbing an injury is great, but she wanted to help them continue to do more to get healthier, stay healthier, and live their lives to the fullest.

She became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and joined the GT team. She’s now focused on helping you avoid injuries, get healthier, and move better. She’s focused on helping you live your life as the version of yourself that you want to be.

If you just don’t feel (or look) like yourself anymore, Lynne’s the person you need to talk to.
